Stage 4

Validation and corroboration of raised up results from measuring and validation activities - Part II

This phase is a continuation of the 3rd phase as it was modified at the beginning of 2014.
The main objective of this phase is to validate collaborative methods and e-infrastructure implemented methods for education, training, investigation, diagnosis and research for cultural heritage conservation. A very important particularity of this stage consists in the demonstration and the launch of the advanced training form as permanent available instrument.

Courses and training for students

21.01.2015 Course with students from Faculty of Architecture

The course program was constituted by several theoretical lectures:

  • General introduction
  • 3D Digitization of Artworks. History. Methods. Applications. Trends
  • Laser Ablation in Conservation&Restoration of Cultural Heritage
  • Teleoperation as a remote investigation and monitoring technique used in artwork Conservation-Restoration
  • Geophysical Methods

Demonstrations were performed in the laboratory with: FTIR, Multispectral imaging, Colorimetry, LIBS, LIF, LDV, 3D Scanning, GPR

02.04.2015 Course with Centre for Professional Training in Culture

The courses were held in Magurele and covered theoretical aspects of the following topics:

  • General Introduction

04.05.2015 Live Online course with Fayoum University students

On the 4th of May 2015 we had the scheduled online course with Fayoum University, from Egypt. Dr. Roxana Radvan, Dr. Monica Simileanu and Dr. Dragos Ene held three online courses (1 hour each) for students and professors in conservation from Fayoum University. More details here.
