Courses for Cultural Heritage restorers

Between 19-24 October 2015, S.C. Lavimar Consult S.R.L. in collaboration with the National Institute of Research and Development for Optoelectronics INOE 2000, organized for the first time in Romania a module for the Restoration course – “Investigation and physicochemical analysis for cultural objects“.

The module refers to the competence of performing the operations which precede and prepare the conservation and restoration of cultural objects, archaeological and historical monuments.

Gained knowledge includes legislation, norms, European standards, relevant methodologies; use of modern research technologies for physicochemical analysis and radiography; interpreting performed analysis; evaluation of results for establishing the diagnosis.
