BUDGETARY SITUATION: 2001
The Secretariat reported that the amount of 62000 EUR has been allocated to COST G7 for the year 2001. The Secretariat noted that some small adjustment was requested to the COST Secretariat in order to reflect three more countries that are joining the Action.
Due to the fact that the Action is in its first year of running the Committee decided to use the budget for meetings and therefore to meet three times instead of two within the year 2001. As a result the scheme of Short Term Scientific Missions will start only next year.
SHORT-TERM SCIENTIFIC MISSIONS
The scheme of STSM was explained by the Secretariat., According to the guidelines, the Delegates proposed that the daily allowance used by the Commission of 110 EUR per day should be awarded to applicants that undertake a mission within the STSM programme. This amount should form the absolute maximum amount awarded to each applicant per day within the provision of 1500 EUR per mission including the travel ticket. In any case, this ceiling should be checked by the administrating Institute against receipts that the applicant will submit.
